Thunderf00t, Islamophobia and Draw Muhammad Day
I’m guessing that more than a few of my readers will be familiar with the popular YouTuber, Thunderf00t, who did the excellent ‘why do people laugh at creationists?‘ series.
Unfortunately, he has ventured into the realm of politics. Below is a video he has recently posted that is causing a bit of drama on YouTube. Please be warned that it includes the burning of a depiction of Mohammad.
This is my response.
I have had in the past a lot of respect for Thunderf00t as an advocate of reason and science. His recent tone about Islam, though, has been bloody awful and this most recent video just blew my mind. I’d appreciate any comments.

You’ve given a well-considered response to something that seems to be to be in desperate need it.

Thanks, Margaret. I really like Thunderf00t’s older videos, but some of his recent ones have been at best dodgy and then this came out. Urgh.
