Black Rod snubs God
Anyone watching the State Opening of Parliament today would have seen, in an outrageous affront to right-thinking people everywhere, that he only bowed twice, instead of the traditional thrice when entering the Commons. Anyone entering the Commons is expected to bow their head three times; we can only assume that Black Rod meant a deliberate insult to God and all Christians everywhere. Excuses about forgetting himself, being under pressure and so on are unacceptable.
The only thing that confuses me is why the Sun hasn’t picked this up. When Gordon Brown forgot failed to bow, they ran the story.
In the meantime, we can only assume that the new Black Rod is in league with Dennis Skinner in a plot to overthrow the country.
