Gordon's DVDs

Tom Harris has a question:

I have a question (well, three questions, actually): How many have you seen, how many do you already own on DVD (or video) and how many haven’t you seen?

Take two points for every film you own and have seen (only one if you own it but haven’t got round to watching it yet), one point if you’ve seen it but don’t own the DVD, and no points for those you haven’t either watched, purchased or been given.

Own & Seen – Lawrence of Arabia, Psycho, 2001, Casablanca, Vertigo (ten)

Seen – The Godfather, Star Wars IV, It’s a Wonderful Life, To Kill a Mockingbird, Schindler’s List, The Wizard of Oz, The Graduate, ET (eight)

Neither – Citizen Kane, Raging Bull, Singin’ in the Rain, The Searchers, On the Waterfront, Chinatown, Some Like it Hot, Gone With The Wind, City Lights, Sunset Boulevard, The General, The Grapes of Wrath.

Eighteen. Puts me ahead of Sadie, close to Paulie but behind Tom. Consider yourself tagged if you’d like to be… I’m going to try to go to sleep again.

xD.

  1. Paulie Says:

You’ve really never seen Citizen Kane, Raging Bull, On the Waterfront, Chinatown or Sunset Boulevard?

I’m actually really jealous. I’d *love* to see all of those films for the first time again. Sunset Boulevard is one of those films that you settle down to watch and within 30 seconds you know you’ve made the right choice. Like Trainspotting or Pulp Fiction (though the similarity with both ends there).

Paulie’s last blog post..Lazy Sunday afternoon

I know – there are a few films I really should have seen. In fairness to myself, I have seen a decent selection of the classics – Metropolis, Battleship Potemkin, the Dollars trilogy, etc. – and will eventually get through the cinematic canon.

    xD,
